Motorstate Shipping Times

Post by Racer18 »

Anyone else having problems with shipping? I am in the 1- day zone, and its been taking 2-3 days for about 6 months now. Am I the only one?

I am having the same issue, it was changed from two days to four days for me. My contact person tells me they are adding warehouse space, moving around some inventory and have just changed from UPS to Fedex. I think they will be back to normal schedule soon.

I sure do like Motorstate, good service, good pricing, good folks to deal with.

Fed X here sucks. They get here late or sometimes after hours so I don't get my order until late the next day. With UPS I've never had a problem and they're here before 11am. Cheaper isn't always better.

Never heard of Motorstate?

Are they retail like Summit and Jegs?

Or is Motorstate just wholesale to companies like them?

Parts I ordered Thursday still aren't here. I requested they switch me back to UPS. They said no problem.

The problem is not with the shipping companies, it is internal, something about a new system, construction, etc. Real hard to be in this business if you can't get parts.

UPS always has my order here the next day before 10:30 am. My order shipped Fed x last Thursday still isn't here.

They are more than doubling the size of the warehouse.
Looks like 4 times the amount of truck docks.
Probably will be some growing pains but it will be better when done.

Yeah - they've been tripping over themselves a fair amount this past month or so.

I use them for quick back up on a lot of lines, and for fill on the lines I don't go direct on.
Makes it difficult to make commitments for folks depending on us in the "season".
