Flexplate plate question

Post by BOOT » Tue Feb 09, 2016 3:40 pm

Ok I was looking at a Quicktime flexplate RM-923 and that is for a one piece seal sbc, so I asked them(now Holley group) if I need a balance plate RM-530. They gave me the generic external/internal bs answer but ultimately didn't say yes or no.

I thought once piece seal flexplates need to be weighted because the crank doesn't have the weight on that end anymore?

edit: sbc 350
I know as much as I can learn and try to keep an open mind to anything!

If I didn't overthink stuff I wouldn't be on speedtalk!

As far as I know, all SBC OEM 350 cid crankshafts that have the 1 piece seal require a flexplate with the weight (externally balanced).

If the crank is a non-OEM crank, your results may vary.
