Well, I have been thinking that it would be cool to have good gearing. by "GOOD GEARING" I mean good gearing in the low speed arena. By Low speed I mean under one Hundred Miles an Hour. While also having the Car to have good gearing for speeds over Two Hundred Miles An Hour.

Hence the reason for my interest in possibly changing the rear-End Gear. Which is currently $.88's/ WHen I put the needed Gear into the Transmission. when I think that I could loose the G-V Over-Drive.

I want the Car to be able to run over 200 miles an hour. While it would have good gearing for the low Speeds. THat way I could hopefully make a decent pass down the quarter mile.

This stuff is why I would dearly love to get my hands on one of the 1969 Cougar Eliminator 2-speed rear ends that you hand shifted that Ford made about 6 or 7 of before they scrapped them.

Run a 3.00 gear and also a 4.00 gear in it or whatever you wanted to run.

It was made like a 12-bolt which surprised me because the center section didn't drop out like a 9" does.
