Richmond Gear Help

Post by cspeier » Sat Jul 16, 2016 5:27 pm

Anyone know what this gear is? 82-6458-1

I counted the teeth and it's a 5.14, but I can't find that number anyplace.

Thanks

Is it a 9" Ford (or any Ford for that matter)?

They changed the numbering system on Ford ring & pinions from the original xx-xxxx-x to Fxxxx on some variations of R & P. Your gear set may be from the old numbering system and may no longer be in current catalogs.

Any other numbers on either of the two gears?

My 1988 cat. has that sequence of numbers but no 82 series.

In the Pro Gear section of the price list their series are 79, 80 and 83, soo might be a pro gear?? Normal series are either 49 or 69.

Was Richmond making gears for anyone else?
