th400 waved plate & 4 friction intermediate (4l80e parts)

i'm building a th400 to go behind a 383. i'm not sure if i should keep or trash the waved plate in the intermediate clutch stack. i have the parts to put a 4 friction clutch in the intermediate using 4l80e parts, but should i? any advise is appreciated.

Remove the wave plate.

I want to throw this out here, just because.

You might want to hunt up, "Jakeshoe", and get with him here. I want to say he is in TX??

As well as, "Bruce", if he hasn't backed out of tranny work due to health or retiring? He should be out east?

Use the big spirolox snap ring for the intermediate clutch too, from the 4L80e.

Toss it. Never have used one in the many I have built. Also pay attention to the clearance to keep it .050"+ a few. Not .100"+ like the last one I fixed that is in a now 6 second funnycar that ran 7.20's previous.
