spread port header question???

I have regular 1 3/4 long tube headers on my car and Im loking to buy 15* spread port heads that I found cheap, so my question is, can a machine shop remove the standard port flange from my regular headers and weld a spread port flange to the individual header tubes???

They don't make sp or special headers for my car (92 corvette)

It can be done. My brother did that to his pickup's headers to run an old set of my sprint car heads. A good welder can do it.
