Rotor sanding

I have brake fade(glazed the pads) all over my calipers and i am replacing the front brake pads with hawk racing pads but need to sand the rotors to clean them up was wondering what grit of sand paper i can use i was thinking 120 to 180 grit but am curious on other people's opinion............thanks in advance

Somebody must have a idea of what sand paper to use as this should be a common thing to do as it is for me and i have been using #120 grit and curious what other use...........thanks

Do you have a da sander??? If so get some 120 grit and spin the rotor as you apply the da to it. They will clean up real nice just make sure you clean them up with some brake clean....

Thanks for the reply , just the way i have been doing it...it just resures me i am doing it right
