Diamond platers

Post by Big Jay »

Anyone know of a company that can replate the too sharpening wheel for a Kwick Way boring bar. They get way too much for a new one. Replating the wheel with new diamond should only run about $50.00

At one of the shows a few years ago, there was a company with a booth that does this. Anyone had it done?

Worth a call -- they say they do it.

you can recharge the lap yourself if you care to. purchase the diamond dust ( thats what we used to call the stuff ) spread the dust as evenly as you can on the lap then use a hard piece of steel preferably tool steel on top of lap put it in a press . press it together the material of the lap is soft enough to absorb the dust.
