The spring connector on my older, but still very good timing light has streached out and become wothless. Does anyone know how to fix or convert it to inductive pickup ?

Nick,
Can you disect an old/new sparkplug wire boot and use the clip from inside it?

On a similar light. I used a spring I scrounged up and put a clip on the lead. (like an alligator clip, but wider)

OTOH, inductive versions of similar lights are cheap on ebay.
