Yes, the Saturn V was the "Mother of All Boosters" before we even had that wonderful phrase from Saddam. On another topic a poster cited the use of Hydrogen for rocket fuel. The Saturn V used kerosene w liquid Oxygen. The advantage of H2 is for the weight, the mass energy density of H2 being the highest. However, you have to count the weight of the tank and everything and when you do that the weight advantage of H2 diminishes with the increasing size of the rocket.
