Quarter Mile ET Prediction Program
its a FREE 1/4 mile ET Prediction program for
SpeedTalk users
i just put a slighty newer Windows version of ET_Analyst (ETAVBWIN)
on my Cox InterNet site for downloading.
Using this Cox site might be faster downloads with no interruptions ?
this is Full installation "newer" Windows version Zipped File
new:
1-Lighter program colors to reduce ink loss in Printing
2-Displays Shift-point Feet Distances/ET/MPH/GForce/RPM
3-Displays Weather=> Vapor Pressure/Saturation/Density Alt Ft/Air Density %
http://members.cox.net/larrymeaux/ETAVBWIN.ZIP
just the "newer" .EXE file byitself,
this will only Run if you have XP
(or all the other previous support files from the old ETA)
http://members.cox.net/larrymeaux/ETAVBWIN.exe
ETAVBWIN.ZIP needs first to be UnZipped
by right clicking on ETAVBWIN.ZIP...then a PopUp Menu appears,
click on [Extract all]
then click [Next]
then click [Next] again..this is after everythings UnZipped
then check [x] Show extracted Files
then click [Finish]
what you should see next are these 3 Files=>
ETAVBWIN.CAB .... a Cabinet file containing all Program Files
Setup.LST .... a setup LIST file telling computer where to install files
Setup.EXE ... the initial setup and installation program file
double-click on SETUP.EXE to install ETAVBWIN on your Computer
after everthings installed
find and double-click on ETAVBWIN.EXE
and the program should run !

Density Altitude !
that Window "Scrolls" up and down
you should also be able to see every 10 Feet of Distance
down the Quarter Mile !!!
reminds of a Racer who Emailed me about a Year ago=>
He said something like this =>
"It sure would be nice if your Program showed more distances
than just the 60,330,660,1000,1320 Times"
i replied..it does show you Distance Data every 10 Feet Down,
just use the Scroll Button on the Right Side,
or the PageUP, PageDown, or Home or END Keys,
as well as just entering any Number..it will jump to that Number,
also the Up or Down Arrows.

I downloaded it on my MAC and eliminated about 90 percent of those steps. Then I just dropped it in my shared folder and it popped up on my windoze desktop, ready to install! Thanks for some great programs!

what i've heard is the new Macs will run Windows Programs also,
thats great news ETA ran OK on your Mac
by the way,
all new future versions of my Programs will have an "optional"
new Mac OS-10 Aqua Look with the Candy Buttons, etc,
they will look like Mac programs
but actually still be Windows
the new versions will also have option to retain the same
Windows Classic look ....and also be available in Metric and English Units,
Screen Sizes 800x600, 1024x768,1400x1050
Larry , first I want to thank you for your great programs, I came across some of them in 2000, and about 2 years ago found this website. I have been using a shareware version 1 of pipemax and I want to upgrade to the newest version . How do I go about that? I think I read somewhere to just send you a check with my E mail address and you will E mail it to me, Is that correct? I also use ETAWIN and also had that in a DOS program a while back. Anyway they are very informative and helpful.

No, I was not able to run it on my MAC just all that de-compression. We should talk about coming up with a version that's more cross platform and open up your market to the world of UNIX which is about 48% of the market and growing daily.maxracesoftware wrote:i hadn't tested any of my Programs on a Mac yet !!katman wrote:I downloaded it on my MAC and eliminated about 90 percent of those steps. out of thousands of downloads,
i've only had just 2 request for a version that would run on a Mac !
and 1 for Linux .
its very hard for me to justify converting all my Source Code
over to Linux or Mac , and re-Learning a new Programming Language
like "NetBeans Java" or "REALbasic 2007 version" !
that are cross-platform .
REALbasic 2007 would probably the easiest to Learn and work with,
but i have 20+ years of Code and Work with VB1.0 to VB6.0 + .NET
..with Head Porting, etc...i just don't have the Time to start
all over
i'd suggest the "opposite way"=>
here are a few Links to Programs that let you Run Windows on Mac's
and other OS's =>
PS- doesn't Bill Gates own a sizeable amount of Stock in Apple ?
those PC -vs- Apple Commercials are pretty funny
the fatter older geek looking Bill Gates actor -vs-
the younger slim better looking Steve Jobs actor
