96 GM passlock system

Post by Engguy »

Any one know the proper way to bypass it?
And curious how anyone with an engine dyno can run these newer engines outside the car nowadays.
I don't want to install a remote system I just want it gone.

you would have to install a resi stor to the passlock circuits. that was the same resistance as the chip in the key or the chip in the lock cyl.

10 years ago there was a guy called Larry's electrics in IL. Don't know if he is there but worth a shot!

Like fastcrew said, measure the resistance of the chip on the key, and install a resistor that falls in the appropriate range...

There's schematics on the second page linked that show the pin-outs for the pcm.
