A number of subpar fasteners are being reported in Europe and North America.
These fasteners look like quality fasteners, have correct markings, but are of lesser quality.
An example would be a Grade 5 bolt marked as a Grade 8 bolt. This is just an example and may not match what is being found.
The subpar fasteners appear to be coming out of Asia.
The fasteners include nuts, bolts, and the like.
Many of these are metric fasteners.
Please purchase only fasteners from established, quality manufacturers!

I have to agree!
Nothing against the big name warehouses that sell their own gear install kits but: My son purchased one about a year ago and all the ring gear bolts failed! I was there to witness the torquing of these bolts and couldn't believe that happened. Those bolts were grade 5 at best!
Nothing but Richmond from there on out!
