Delay box time is unaffected by voltage, otherwise we would be chasing them constantly. I haven't been into the new ones, but I used to repair the old analog boxes. They used a crystal to control timing, voltage has no effect.11secAvanti wrote:How do you charge up the 16 volt battery later? Does it require a special charger purchase too? The feedback has got me leaning toward the 16 volts. So it does not take out the electronics and MSD, right???
What about the delay box? Is it changing the time box time? Thanks.

With our patent pending dual terminal battery you
can charge / maintian the battery with a 16 Volt alternator,
run the fuel pump on 16 volt and the rest of the car on 12V
Model 12163242 works great with an alternator.
Model 12163241 for use in racing without an alternator.
We have alternators also! - direct fit for some applications

(16V wont hurt the MSD box as bad as LOW voltage "below 12 volts" does.)
Ones you go 16V you'll never go back to 12....
and NOW we have 14 volt also!

I went back to a 12 volt with an alternator. Had 2 different 16 volt batteries of the same manufacture and had issues with both such as not holding a charge very long and not cranking the starter while checking 16.5 with a volt meter. I was told that my car had problems not battery related. Works with my red top Optima with or without an alternator. I guess my problem only shows up on 16 volts.
