Im looking for a Tobin Arp or Sunnen TR-6700 tappet refacer.
Does anyone have one they'd like to sell?

We've got one I've been meaning to get around to rebuilding and getting into production.
How much are they worth these days?

I was looking at some cam grinding equipment about a year back andin this thread I was looking for a tappet grinder.
There was a few replies you may want to do a search and check the responses.
Guys still email me from time to time but as far as cost goes the T/A/Sunnen units are going for between $2000-$3000 for complete setups.
The machines that was made by Webb for Storm/Vulcan are out there and about $1500 for complete ones with all the collets.
There is a member here Sambag that had one for sale a couple months back.You may try him.He is in Plaino Texas.
Good guy to deal with.

Ours is a Storm Vulcan; seems to be complete, just really crusty. If you're interested, PM me with an offer and I'll take some photos.

Since we've reconditioned one Storm-Vulcan/Webb 901 tappet grinder and beginning work on another, questions more than answers have arisen. FWIW, there are two versions of the 901 and a 902.
One local antique engine shop has a Sunnen/Tobin Arp 6700. He says it is not adjustable for different radius tappets. Anyone here have the S/T-A grinder manual, I'd like to know what it says about differing radiuses.

I know this is old but!!
The Tobin ARP model TR-6700 will grind the tappet faces from flat to any radius specified by the manufacturer. It will take as standard
tappets from .500 diameter to 1". Optional collets will increase capacity to 1.060"
Also available is a collet to grind Vega Tappets.
That is straight from the Tobin operating instructions booklet.
My friend has 2 of them for sale .. 2000 for the pair.. yes they need reconditioned.
