We bore and sleeve a lot of marine engines and are also located in missouri!

Whatever you get, make sure you get the blind hole tooling so you can bore all the way to the bottom. Your manufacturer should have it or you can get it from the usual Goodson/Regis or Lacey Williams.

We use a Rottler F2VB but you can make about anything work.

I've got a Kwik-Way bar and stand available. What's the minimum diameter you'd bore? That's the key to choosing the right machine.

I've got a perfect condition Kwik-Way FT boring bar, 2.625"-5.00", complete with tool kit in box, as well as the large diameter/slow speed adapter and on the stand like this. PM me if interested.

Before buying something, you may want to consider one issue with most outboards. The decks are often not square with the bores, especially with the common OMC V-4 and V-6 blocks. I used to do them referencing from the deck on a boring table and would have to be careful about shimming them to get the bores to line up square. Since I started doing them on a CNC off the mainline, I really see how bad they can be. The pan rails as a reference is good, like with a Rottler style machine.

I have an extra RMC 1550 boring mill I have thought about selling. They work great for all small outboards and bigger engines.

Excellent machine, I had an RMC 1000 and still have a pic of it with a V6 outboard mounted.
