Post by Xlxbhorsepower »

Checking to see did anyone has a Evo case boring setup Jim’s #1409 they would like to sell.

Not needing the Evo cradle just the boring head assembly but interested in the 1409 as it was sold new if there is one for sale.

Inbox me if you have something.

Thanks

If you have a milling machine, the Jim's tool really isn't necessary. Bolt the cases to a large angle plate, tram the deck, indicate the spigot bore center and use a standard boring head.

If you have a boring bar, S&S and Axtell make spacers and fixtures to bore cases for larger cylinders.

Thank you Jim, I’ve seen the S&S plates in the past but I will take another look at them. Thanks for the time to respond and passing on the idea’s. I’m doing them now on my 054 light stand and FN bar, just wanting to decrease setup time.
