Thank you very much my friend, my power estimate is around 620 HP...car weights 3414lbs with me in it.

Lets see how she does on a good prepped strip :)

Limit straps...won't they impede front end rise at launch and weight transfer?

Unfortunatelly I haven't any more tire clearance at the rear,,,the tires are 1" from the fenders with the suspension unloaded.

That Pro Street Camaro looks awesome too! =D>

Thanks !

At the starting line no, the track wasn't prepped, I had to pedal it gradually ,,,next race the strip will have some VHT, and I'll floor it off the line like it should be :)

I'm sure I have power to lower the sixty foot, but I need to find the correct weight transfer ratio & best tire pressure to hook like it should.

Thanks for reply Big Joe..

any chance of a wheele and you should have already tied your chassis together or a cage hate it when they bend in the middle or even start showing wrinkles on the quarter panels

You did a magnifcent job putting that car together, looks sharp , also the video from the grandstands shows the power of the car, nice job.

Car is already tied :)

I made the subframe connectors with braces in the middle welded to the stock floor reinforcements.

I also built a ten point roll cage, tying all the chassis to the sobframe bars and frames. Car feels pretty solid.

Thank you! these things take time...My car was stored in the garage on jackstands for more than three years, waiting for parts.....overhere parts are five to six times more expansive than they are at USA, so have $$ to get the parts also takes time..I sold a 283 and a 350 to have funds to build this 427...

The thing that matters is , someday your car will be ready to rock, build it like you dream and will worth it!

UPDATE........ with pics & video

Last Sunday I drove the Z28 to Velopark Drag strip to test the performance on a good prepped strip (finally, thanks GOD)....I weighted the car on a four corner scale, its race weight is 3308lbs with me in it. Yep, needs a diet.

My friends, I still can't belive how well she did!!!!

I ran six times, all launches with the front wheels IN THE AIR!!!!!! I never would even imagine that could happen!!!

Best ET was 1.52s sixty foot (very good to a street strip car overhere), 4.25s @ 100 meters and 6.57s@ 108.25 MPH in the 1/8 mile :o

First pass I hamered it off the line, it felt strong and she hooks now, but car pulls to the left two times and I had to abort the pass.

Second pass, lowered the tire pressure from 14 psi to 13 psi, car launches better, but still pull to the left , I lost traction and had to pedal it on second gear still runs seven flat.

Third pass, lowered the tire pressure to 12.5 psi car launches hard ,runs sorta straight and its the first time I'm is the six seconds zone with a 6.78s!
When I arrived in the pits , my friends and a few strangers were all there to congratulate me for the ET!

Fourth pass, I increased the left hand Caltrac's bar preload half turn, now car launches like a scalded dog, runs straight and I'm faster than ever :) I saw the 4.28s time partial after the finishing line and now my eyes are wet, because I did know the ET was even better than before. And it was! 6.59s@ 108.25 mph

The fifth and Sixth pass are pretty much like the fourth, car now is consistent, launches like a MFKr, but I believe it can be quicker off the line , maybe lower gears, other caltrac setup... lots of things to test :)

I didn't even touched the engine, its with the "tune by ear" I did for the street yet so I think I can have more power from it. I believe , by the car weight and 1/8 speed the engine is making now around 62-630 HP.

I'm very very happy,, all my friends couldn't believe what all of us were seeing...a Street car, all steel , heavy ( comparing with the other cars racing) ,all motor pump gas burner, wheelstanding and running mid sixties, and out running A LOT of race only cars...AND I even got a thophy of first place in my seven second class...all in the same day !!!

I just can't belive yet. I feel like God blessed me, because everything ran soo well, I didn't broke a part, car ran strong, didn't hit the wall and got new friends.

We don't know other car with the characteristcs above that runs that fast in the ENTIRE COUNTRY. So I guess I'm the Brazilian version of Larry Larson right now

So, I'd like to thank all of you again, that took the time to give me a hand and had patience to teach me the secrets of this amazing sport.

To me this is a victory and it's also yours! =D> =D> =D>
