Did you use a fork and blade connecting rod arrangement on your creation?
This goes back to the early days of motorcycles. Manufacturers found it easiest to add a second cylinder to their existing single and the many v-twins were produced.

Automotive Machining, cylinder head rebuilding, engine building. Can't seem to quit

nope ,machined the crank webs and reduced the big end width of the original con rods and used bearings with a shorter cage.So the main bearings distances were maintained. The tricky part was welding warpage recovery on the original crank case,so it saved cost of making a new one.Inspired by the work of millyard and drysdale.Keith Morganstein wrote:Did you use a fork and blade connecting rod arrangement on your creation?

What Jack Vines said. Ingenuity and "can-do" are priceless.
