I am working on a BBF C9VE heads and edel victor 460 intake. I ported the heads but did not gasket match them to a CJ gasket Felp pro #1231 as the customer wanted...seemed as it would be to thin entering the port just after the valve cober rail. When I put the heads on the block and checked the Victor 460 for port alignment is seems as though it sits about .250 too high. Basically looks like if I gasket matched the heads to a 1231 it would fit perfectly, ports would line right up. So should I mill the intake to match the ports or go ahead and gasket match the heads?
Thanks Guys |

The victor is stanard size port on cj centers. Best flow is when heads are opened up to match victor, not scj gasket.

The victor exit is smaller than the CJ but larger than the std. port . Like Charlie said...they are on CJ centers and it is best to match the heads to the Victor manifold rather than the huge CJ/SCJ gasket . _________________ www.bfevansraceparts.com |
