Dyno tire pressure
I will be dynoing on a set of 28x9 slicks...what pressure would work best for this? I know, ideally you don't want to use slicks, but in this case I have too.

I run 20 Psi in my slicks on the dyno . The key is being consistant each time you go to the dyno as changing the air pressure will affect the dyno numbers .

Thanks, I'll try 20 this time. I ran 14 last time, and it chewed the tires up pretty good.

Spray a little water on the roller with a mister/spray bottle and check the contact patch?

Give it a run, and measure tire temperatures across the tire.
That will tell you which way to go to get the whole tire working, not just the middle or the edges.

Lots better to have some decent normal road tires. They will hold up to the roller much better. Slicks tend to fail more on the dyno with high hp cars. I have some customers that insist that at 600whp they need it, clean up the room with a snowshovel. 700whp through a pair of all season 205s with my hotrod. After a few hours up to 160mph they get warm.
