I thought I had loud car and truck horns, but lately I have found them to be useless. Having been very nearly killed by a zonked-out ear-bud wearing dipshirt driving an ambulance [!] plus trying to miss the hoards of brainbucket-wearing Quad riders infesting the public backroads around my boondoc home every summer I need something a hell of a lot louder.
Just the other day I was driving down a gravel road towards town. Out of a sideroad roared a dirtbike [no plate of course so he obviously didn't have to pay attention to the stop sign.] He looked left and right and seemed to think he could get out in front of me. Which he did. He was followed by a guy on a quad we can call F. Tard who only looked left 'cuz that was the direction his bud went. Never looked my way at all. And, he too did the "rolling stop" manuever.
Then he proceeded down the road at a screaming 19 KPH, swerving violently left and right to avoid whatever. I amused myself by blowing the horn repeatedly to get him to pull right and allow me to pass, but he heard nothing. I'll be polite and blame this on the full brain bucket he was wearing and not some demented death wish. I could go on and on about such nitwits, I have lots of examples, but what about a real loud horn? I know there are lots of louder than stock horns, and I've had some but I don't think they will work on zombies.
I need painfully loud. Something that can blow the eyes out of a snake.
Any suggestions?

Seeing that makes me feel like doing some custom "modifications" to their vehicle.

You need a big air tank and an air compressor........
Big rig truck air horns are good.
Railway locomotive air horns are in another class altogether.

Just had another evil thought.
I bet a FOG HORN off an ocean going vessel would beat a railroad horn.
It would require a hell of a lot of compressed air to run one though.
Cheers, Tony.

Problem is too many drivers just don't care, they forget they should share the road with other drivers. Its all me - me and forget about the other drivers. I learn to just bear with them and pass them when possible - unless they wanna drive fastest them me, then go right ahead but don't go holding me up later on cause your radar detector tells you to slow down
Re: who makes the car horn from hell?
I don't think you can teach anyone to not act like a moron by making a loud noise as they don't care. About all you will do is get flipped off or they will go slower. If they are kids letting their parents know is useless as if they cared the kids would not act like that in the first place.

One day I was at the car book store in Burbank, and Leno pulls up in his Stanley Steamer. While people were looking at it, he blew the horn. It was a steam horn that ran off of the boiler. I forgot how many PSI he said was in there, but you have never heard anything like that on the street.
It did sound like a train, then again trains used to have steam horns.
