Hotchkis 2" drop springs

Post by lluciano77 »

Thinking about getting these for my '73 Camaro.

My old springs are worn out. I am running cast iron heads, but intake, water pump, etc. is aluminum. As well as AC gone and any smog equipment.

But I am guessing that the worn OEM springs are probably sagging close to the 2" drop these are set at. What I am looking for is my current ride height, yet with a spring that actually works.
The Camaro is hooking up well on launches. It is very hard to spin the tires, so I don't think front suspension tuning is needed for launch. It is a factory front suspension with a 1 1/4" Firebird sway bar.

Not looking for an expensive front end build. But it would be nice to have newer springs that don't let the front end dive and crunch my headers. Or worse yet bottom out to the snubbers and kill the benefits of a fairly good handling car.
