Adding much needed square footage to our shop has been a trying experience finding a good contractor
Quotes from $180.00 to $225.00 per sq ft. Iam curious to here if anyone knows what building costs in there areas are
Iam just building a shop 42 x 96 18 height 4032 sq ft 6 over head bay doors 5 12x14 / 1 14x14 Nothing special metal building with one fire rated brick wall 96 feet long. 2 washrooms, 4 furnaces, lights, completely finished

Sounds high compared to m y area, unless they are going to furnish your equipment too.

Am I figuring it right that this is going to cost $800,000ish plus added property taxes and insurance? Thats what $5-6K a month?

Considering he already owns the land that might be 4X of what we pay around here. My rent on a prime location stand alone (prime) building with 4300ft with its own 20 car parking lot is $2200 a month locked in for 5 years with 5% per annum increases after that and the landlord also covers the water and trash bill.

This is just an addition for our automotive shop, The main shop now is 10,0000
thought of moving but I really like the location were we are at now
Just having a hard time paying so much for so little square footage
