STRANGE DOUBLE ADJUSTABLE (G-BODY)

Post by 598 BIG RAT »

We Recently built a malibu frame of boxed everything we could box and purchased a 9" from strange with all factory control arm locations.
We ordered a set of special order double adjustable coil overs to get rid of the factory progresive springs. The shocks on a g body set at a angle and therefor you got to give for the angle of the shock to weight ratio. They sent me 138# springs and i had to take the spanner nut way over half way and it still is siting low on the right side by 3/4 inch. It seems like the only thing i can do is go up with the spanner nut. I am gonna call strange tommorrow and see what they say. Does anyone know how much weight the 138# spring is rated for? It seems like it is taking alot of spanner nut to lift this car.
Thanks

look at some 150lb springs - used ones for sale on ebay fairly regularly....which shocks do you have and are you using them with adjustable shock mounts on the rear-end?

The circle track metrics will run anywhere from 150# to #225's on the rear depending on set-ups...
