Engines can be quite weird sometimes. In the 90's in Jr High, I worked on a two stroke suzuki 4 cylinder for my then boss, and it took off full throttle with closed throttle. Ripped off all plug wires and it continued to scream. It took me and him to choke off all four carbs with our hands to kill it. Memory says it was a two stroke, but I'm not sure, but it was a suzy 4 bike engine on a bike stand and it was scary for a 13 year old.
