I have the stock bronco ecm and the stock Lightning ecm. Not sure of how different the calibration is on them. I feel the stock Lightning ecm will handle the minor mods.

Finally got some help and pulled the bronco engine. 100% stock with 60k miles. Multiple bent pushrods. Seems the culprit was some stuck valves. The engine did sit for a while.

Stock Bronco 351w post mortem. Looks like it was run out of oil or detonated to death. Mikey was a maintenance nut so it wasn't him. He has a wicked stereo in it so he would not hear it knock. The fuel pump was making lots of noise for a while and power was slowly going down. He said it had the slightest tap accelerating or decelerating and the oil pressure wavered while at an idle. The original owner was with us yesterday bragging how he never changes the oil in his trucks! Ideas or suggestions to keep new motor alive welcome! Thanks Charlie
