I was wondering what your technique for valve unshrouding is.
I have been laying the wall back in a sloped fashion and was wondering if anyone actually takes out the entire wall and moves it to the new location.. creating another "wall" but further away vs. my sloped wall.

It depends on the port and valve seat angles.
The transition from the top of the seat to the wall is important if you are looking for the best quality flow from the seat.
Some stock heads with the flat floors can work OK with the wall "moved" like you describe, but it's not the optimal situation.
