Arias Heads No More?

Post by Larry Salisbury »

Sadly, it appears that Nick Arias jr. Racing Components has closed. This is the engine/cylinder head side of the business. Yesterday, I was checking on their status and found that the website has been taken down, Facebook page is gone, and the phone is out of service. Today, I called Ed Iskenderian to make sure, and he did verify that to be true. Isky mentioned to me that the Arias family is now going to focus on piston production only.

As I understand it, Nick Jr's long-time employee and right-hand man, Fred Blanchard, has purchased the assets of Nick Arias Jr. Racing Components which is the cylinder head/block side of the business and is moving it to Long Beach. Call Elmer at Arias Pistons and he will be able to tell you how to get in touch with Fred.

Good move by the Arias family in my opinion. The motor shop was dragging both businesses down even while the piston division was making improvements in manufacturing. Now they will be able to concentrate on the money making division.

Right on, Dave. I was always under the impression that the engine division was sort of a hobby for Nick, Jr. Probably a throwback to his days at Wayne Company, way back when . . . . . . . .

Good to see the piston biz is healthy... I abused more than one Arias slug during my 351C days....
