I know they used to ... I have a couple older NASCAR cams like that on the shelf right now.

Yes in 8620, will cost you 850-1000, depending on what kind of deal you are on with the manufacturer.

Also can get tool steel core which will be thru hardened, cost you 1200-1400.

Both have to be polished to a pretty low RA and both need coated(DLC etc.) lifters, another 1200+.

A side benefit, you can run either in needle type cam bearings if you want.

Big money up front but probably worth it if you are really gettin after it.

LSM will make them for you. Last time a friend bought them, they were $600ea / minimum order of 5. That is just the blank - pre actually grinding any lobes on them. This was also about 5 years ago.

So you’ll be in about $1000-1200 for the cam alone, each.

He had Crane (Chase Knight spec), Crower (with Bruce picking out the numbers), and LSM all grind one of each. All were with a couple degrees of duration at .050”, a few thousands of lift, and 2* LSA from each other. =D>

I should have made 8620 cam cores instead of wrist pins.

We have the cores on the shelf(depending on journal size) for SB Chevy, and Ford 351w.
For a finished cam, you're looking at between $700-800

We would have to machine the core. The price would be the same, but it would take a couple more weeks.
