metal plug wire shields?

Post by cv67 »

sbc alum heads, anything kind of similar to oem? These "boots" are ok but not optimal.
Link? Just the metal type that cover the boot, curious if somethings out there
Changing wires, slowly getting this up and running not going to pay another $100 for boots.

Why not go to a wrecking yard and get some of what you want?
The Nazis didn't lose WWII,they just changed uniforms. Now they run the place.

Those cheap clear fuel filters have a nice Pyrex glass tube that slipps right over a spark plug boot...

Pretty much indestructible....Just sayin....

I used to throw them away because I managed to cut myself more than once, trying to screw plugs into the heads with the view blocked by the shields. Cooked a bunch of plug wires that way, even the fancy Technicolor "racing" wires.

I've made my own from sheet metal a couple of times. Moroso sells some Nomex sleeve for plug wires, but I haven't used it.
