EQ has a magnum style head with the LA intake bolt pattern.
I have used several sets of these heads and they are a good head for the money. They are intended as an HP upgrade with the older bolt pattern for the intake but they do flow well and the rocker arm options are many to choose from.
I drilled the last set and used a 3/8" X 7/16" BBC rocker stud intended to be used in later BBC heads with the positive stop rockers. I also used them to put 1.72 BBC rockers on a 4.0 Jeep head as well.
They can be had from ARP and most suppliers have them in stock.

But I am not aware of them making a shaft rocker style head. With the exception of the valve cover bolt pattern differing slightly ( more bolt holes ) I am told the older covers can be used with a perma dry style gasket.

I have a set of the indy X heads, they made good power. If you buy a set make sure you have bronze liners installed before you use them. They have an issue with guide galling to the exhaust valve stems. I bought a set when they first came out and they sat on the shelf. I finally got around to building my project and they ran good on the dyno, and about 500 miles on the street then it hung a valve. Went to the internet and started reading about this issue, several hits came up. Hughes engines sells them with the liners already in them. funny only two guides show any damage the one that hung on cylinder 4 and the companion cylinder on the other side all the rest looked good. I wonder if it is a water flow issue around the guide?

Have some OEM Mopar iron (W-2's) on the shelf for the LA unit!

Thanks, Gary in N.Y.

P.S. These are complete with entire top-end, Sharp rockers and Edelbrock intake. Also have the header plates as well.
