Wish I could have sent you a set that I ported a while back, they were not my heads though. I ported them with Carnut's help and a local shop that has a bench I was using. They ended up on a budget 393 Windsor I had put together for a coworkers pickup truck. They are out of gas by about 5k but it has some snappy torque. He has towed a few tractors and a skid loader with it and is pretty happy with how it all turned out.

Reviving an old thread for good reason. Dyno testing starts today. Terry Walters precision engines dyno ran by Jack Sain over seen by DV. Excited to meet and learn from their experience. I will be handling head change out and basic helper needs. Thanks, Charlie.

I SHOULD ADD: We know the whole combo so I will list it here. 306 , cam (torquemaster) chosen to match the middle performance heads. 274 degree @ .006 lift single pattern Comp grind hydraulic ft 110lc .484 lift with 1.6 rockers and 3 degrees advance. Air gap dual plane 750 cfm quick fuel carb. Horsepower guesses for each set of heads are welcome. We hope to have the stock E7TE numbers later today.

Talking with Jack this morning about short block. Set me straight with the cam. Super small hydraulic flat tappet. I expect it to fall flat about 6000 rpm. Thanks, Charlie

I’d be interested in hearing what some of the planned progression of testing might be.

There was talk earlier in this thread about the short block being “8000rpm capable”.

Obviously you won’t be taxing it’s capabilities with that cam.

Are there different cams planned for use with different heads?

First pull rebuilt stock E7TE heads stock rockers. Not a bad little truck motor.
Next pull DV-Charlie E7TE 1.97" 1.6" heads stock rockers. Any guesses? I am hoping to break 300.

Is it possible to get a dyno sheet that shows BSFC?
